SPRING-SUMMER 2022

„Guemassa” – inspired by Moroccan culture. “Guemassa” is a Marrakesh avenue, the collection’s name choice evokes the diversity of streets and the elegance of Moroccan women. A modern perception of light luxury mixed with traditional Moroccan culture and its exotic mysticism, its characteristic colours.

The silhouettes are extremely varied, the most typical are A-line suits and coats in midi and maxi length, combined with culotte and palazzo trousers. Layered outfits make the pieces of the collection modern. The exclusive tailor-made solutions and sophisticated handmade techniques combined with a special sense of colour to give the ultimate overall impression. The 20 look of the collection is mixed with colours and the harmony of shapes.

The color scheme of Guemassa was inspired by the various unique colours of the  Moroccan spice markets, the  traditional and rich local textures and the historical works of local artisans. The wide colour palette shows the red monochrome shades just like the colour of the wall surrounding Marakesh city, the vibrant orange represents the hot and warm colours of Moroccan sun as well as the characteristic blue walls of Moroccan streets and its various shades such as cobalt blue, bluish purple, and navy blue are accentuated. According to local tradition, these symbols of heaven serve as a reminder of spiritual life. Strong colours are complemented by shades of white, powdery, beige and make it harmonious.

The key pieces show handy techniques experimented with different Moroccan motifs by Viktoria, creating exciting surfaces. Marrakesh’s mood is evoked by authentic hand-woven coat. The harmony of the opposites can be observed in the combination of materials and shapes.

From the previous works of Viktoria, she continued the spectacular technique of ribbing. A classic cut-out coat is made by the technique of manual punching making it thrilling and modern.

Occasional dresses created as a result of experimentation with organza and material manipulation close the collection. The resulting aesthetic disorder of the materials refers to the diversity of the vegetation of the Majorelle garden in Marrakesh. Furthermore, the pattern of sophisticated and light luxury silk dresses in the collection was inspired by the colorful and unique tropical flowers of the Majorelle garden, which evoke the feeling of heaven on earth, as the jewels of the collection complete the SS22 Guemassa inspired by Moroccan culture.

A special combination of color and texture with a remarkably rich design and texture, the outfits of the collection are made even more handmade by earrings and turbans, as well as Moroccan leather slippers and high-heeled sandals add to styling.
