Vertical horizons.
This collection is inspired by the trials and tribulations of this past year. The vertical motif in the fabrics and lines is attempting to embed the verticality of life, the growth, the humans, the principle of symmetry, harmony in diversity.
The horizons, as ambiguous as surprising as they always are, portray the audacity of hope, the lights, the repeated rising of the sun, the many moons. And so, this is the eternal dance of life, the movement, creation and continuous manifestations of lights, shapes and colors.
And we see all these in these last few months. The date nights need to step out of the ordinary, the office is home and the home becomes also a work place, the skies may be free of planes but not of colors. You may not travel far but you can open the windows and any hue you see will take you places, anything shaped by the wind will take you seaside, any flying leaf will take you with it.
This is the very essence of our FW21/22 collection.
The neighbouring buildings’ roof tiles are giving an inspiration for shapes, drapes and textures of the dresses. Alteration of smooth and high hand-woven stripes give a remarkably various and rich texture, whilst conveying the surrounding diversity.
Equal dots represent us all as being equal parts of the eternal, infinite universe. Polka dots represent everything in the universe, from the stars, the moon and planets to individual people, in perfect balance and simetry.
The collection is a contemporary and colorful creation incorporating plentiful handmade signature elements: pom poms, ribbons, crafted paintings, rich hand-woven details. Sophisticated handmade techniques combine with a spectacular colour palette to give the ultimate feeling of harmony and playfulness; mustard yellow, the monochrome shades of the vibrant orange, red and magenta. Blush shades such as light blue, cobalt blue, indigo and purple. Strong colors are complemented by shades of whites, beige and blacks.
The pieces in the collection are made mostly from noble and natural materials like silks and wools. Straigth and A line cuts and mostly midi length combine well for a defined versatility with minis too. Classic cut-out coats are made by our signature ribbing technique making them both exciting and style abundant.
Higlights of the collection include shirt dresses with an interesting twist, classic waist accented dresses with modern sleeves, bold statements with a bomber jacket, various coats, blouses and comfy wide leg pants with a delicate fold. Effortlessly chic organza dresses are perfect for every occasion, created as a result of experimentation with organza manipulated stripes.
Stillness and balance is the the effect when horizontal and vertical lines meet. And playfulness, dancing colours of circles and dots complete the microcosm world that in VIKTORIAVARGA BUDAPEST FW21/22.
